MORONGO VALLEY - We’re heading to a marsh in the desert! After the San Bernardino mountains get a lot of snow, it melts and goes underground. Eventually, it comes back up to the surface in this canyon. It can become so wet, people need to walk on a boardwalk to stay dry! Half of this hike is on the wooden boardwalk above the muddy marsh and half is on a trail that winds along a creek and the base of mountains. On the trail, you’ll find an old car.
