IDYLLWILD - The mountains are calling! It’s time to take a hike into a conifer forest. Do you know what that means? Instead of leaves, the tall trees have needles and create pinecones. That’s right! It’s a pine tree forest. This trail goes in the shape of the number 8. You will climb a small hill with an epic view, walk under a canopy of tall pine trees, peek at a creek, climb boulders, weave through manzanita grove, and then visit real quail. Keep your eyes peeled for the fluffy tails of tree squirrels! How many can you find? - June 2022
