RIVERSIDE - Birds love ponds. Do you? Today you are going to share a trail with horseback riders, visit a model of a Tongva village, and then observe life around a wetland pond. Look up as you walk, the trees along this trail are filled with birds and butterflies. Look down when you reach the pond. The water is covered with floating plants called waterferns, which make it look like it’s just grass. Watch your step! The cool pond water is beneath them! How many different birds can you spot?
