WINCHESTER - Visit a beach (or more like five!) without going to the ocean. This hike starts at a floating jetty next to a boat launch and then follows the shoreline of Lake Skinner. Along the shore, you’ll discover little beaches that are perfect for you to play in the sand while your parents relax under the shade of cottonwood trees. In spring and early summer, the trail is lined with wildflowers and filled with singing birds who may join you to do a little fishing at the water’s edge. This is a great hike in the early morning or late afternoon. (April 2022)
