ANAHEIM - Hiking under tall live oak trees can feel like you are in a different world. Look up and you’ll see leaves, birds, and butterflies with blue blue sky peeking through. Under your feet, leaves crunch. This hike is a coastal oak woodland wonderland, following a little stream. First you’ll go up a slight hill and then spend most of the hike peacefully wandering under oaks. Notice the plants before you drop back down toward the streambed. Where do you see more flowers? Where are there more birds? There are many resting places on this trail. Let your parents sit while you explore. What can you notice? (May 2022)
