NEWPORT BEACH - Jumping for joy for jumping fish! You’ll need to use your ears and eyes to spot mullet fish as they leap out San Diego Creek. After looking out at wetland marsh, this trail winds down to a creekbed. Plan to spend plenty of time here just observing the birds, fish, and even snails. The trail splits between going up on little slopes and down near salt marsh pannes (puddles). Pick your trail, but stay dry! To finish, go up a slight hill with a gorgeous view and then back to the Interpretive Center. - July 2022
